Heather Kent, MA, MSc, MBA, FHEA is a trained teacher with over 15 years’ experience and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Member of the Chartered Management Institute.  Heather has worked in both public and private educational institutions in the UK, Italy and Thailand.   Prior to entering education she spent many years in the hospitality industry where she worked her way up through the ranks to take the role of general manager in hotels.  Heather moved into training and was responsible for the training and development of all staff at an independent brewery company with a portfolio of 62 managed and tenanted public houses.  She used the combination of industry experience and education to establish her own business in Italy where she lived and worked as an employment and language consultant for almost a decade.  Heather Kent has worked in some of Italy’s most important automotive and aeronautical companies gaining valuable insight into the culture and business operations in this sector.
